Hazel’s POV
I yanked my hand, wanting to flee, but he held on. I had no wish to witness his interaction with his mate. Didn’t he understand that?
“Who asked you to wait? I didn’t agree to have dinner with you, Crystal. I told you I was busy.” My heart skipped a beat, and I gaped at him and then at Crystal. Did I misunderstand him?
Crystal was almost in tears. “I can see how busy you are. Maybe you love playing games with other people’s feelings, right? I hate you, Stavros.” Stavros glared at her while I felt ill at ease. To some extent, I could relate to her. He had played with me as well. When I had fallen for him, hook, line, and sinker, he had rejected me. Now, when I was trying to move on, he wanted to pursue me.
