Chapter 57
Francis’s POV
I’m standing in front of my brother without moving, and he doesn’t move either. I think he’s noticed my red eyes and the way I’m nervously scratching my arms, unable to stay still. Anxiety is probably consuming me, and I won’t deny it; it’s a terrible feeling. I never thought it would come to this point. On the plane, I had a fever, felt nauseous, and had to take a pill to avoid dying in the process. After that severe episode, I decided to call Mérida.
I never thought I would have to turn to her. I mean, is my brother’s crazy fiancée going to help me? Initially, I thought it was a terrible idea until I experienced a severe bout of anxiety. I didn’t hesitate to call her.
