Scarlett’s POV

Since my mother hadn’t called, I sent a message to William to see if he could help me with this. He took a while to respond, and his reply was concise; he simply sent me a phone number and told me to get in touch with that person.

I’ve been dragging my feet on the matter, unsure of whether to call or send a message. I feel confused about everything, but it’s time to start organizing my life. I’ll begin with my mother, find out how she’s doing, how she feels, and what we can do to resolve things. And if they can’t be resolved, then I’ll probably feel relieved, at least I tried.

Out of all the people I could choose to be my boyfriend, I chose William Raymond. It’s not a bad choice, but people always talk about him. Nobody can stay quiet when he’s around someone of the opposite sex. Even when he walks alone, people like to watch him. I suppose for him, it’s common, but for me, it’s not.
