Scarlett’s POV
Francis is still in my room, and he asked me for a favor, which I gladly accepted. When he picked up a pen and a blank sheet of paper, I didn’t understand what he was going to do until he mentioned that he wanted to write a letter to William. He also asked me to help him leave the house without any of the others noticing.
I asked him what had happened, but he didn’t tell me. Instead, he said he would send me a message when he boarded the plane, explaining everything that had happened to him. He wants me to know his story, not because he thinks it’s important or that his story should be heard, but because he’s afraid—afraid that something might happen to him.
