Chapter 27. Hidden Something
The afternoon seemed to drift by, carrying with it a sense of quietude that enveloped the old house. As I was lost in my thoughts, Silas knocked softly on my room door before entering with a hint of urgency in his voice.
"Hey, do you know where the key to the guest room is? It's locked," Silas inquired, his tone tinged with mild frustration.
I furrowed my brow in thought, my mind searching for an answer. "I don't know," I admitted, puzzled by the locked room. "Jamir must be taking care of it; let's ask him," I suggested.
