Chapter 37. Fiona’s Arrival

Listening to the insults being hurled at Evangeline, Myra looked at the girls in disbelief. She couldn’t believe that they were the same girls who treated Evangeline like a sister.

Upon remembering what Evangeline had said that day when Geneva was being bullied, “Feelings can end the way they started, just like what was happening to her, a position couldn’t be held by one person forever, people come and go, and you could trust someone, but the worst thing to do is to believe that their particular feelings could last forever, time changes everything. The higher the amount of love someone had for you, the greater the hatred if they come to hate you.”

She finally understood the deeper meaning behind it and what was happening to Geneva that day. This truth was like an awakening, shocking the naive Myra to the core. The human’s rotten heart was now presented for her to see.

The same people that sang the song of praises to Evangeline earlier were now the same people that
