Listening to the insults being hurled at Evangeline, Myra looked at the girls in disbelief. She couldn’t believe that they were the same girls who treated Evangeline like a sister.
Upon remembering what Evangeline had said that day when Geneva was being bullied, “Feelings can end the way they started, just like what was happening to her, a position couldn’t be held by one person forever, people come and go, and you could trust someone, but the worst thing to do is to believe that their particular feelings could last forever, time changes everything.
