Book 3: Like a Corpse
Anacá's POV
I opened my eyes, but my head still reeled, and I couldn’t get up. Eros straightened and watched me warily. I looked away from his judgmental glare.
“What’s wrong with you?” he glared at me instead of helping me.
I hoisted myself to the bed, my head still dizzy. With no food in my system since a cup of coffee in the morning, I knew I couldn’t attend the party.
Didn’t he realize it yet? The entire day, he disappeared without giving me the apartment address or security code!
How could I order something? How could I go out to eat? My phone, too, had drained out, and I realized I forgot my charger at my aunt’s house. With nothing in his apartment, I tolerated the hunger pangs all day. Added to it was the insomnia I was suffering from. Days of sleeplessness had finally taken a toll on my body.
He scowled at me suspiciously as I sipped some water.
“Are you pregnant?” His jaws clenche
