Chapter 48. It’s You

Jenn’s head was spinning. She felt as if she was being supported. Steeling herself, she tried to hold on as long as possible. However, the burly man kept leaning into her. It was disgusting when the rush of mint-scented breath kept hitting her face.

Jenn felt like her shoulders were free. She thought the man behind her would get off. But instead, it was her hands that slid down her hips. A small squeeze jerked the girl’s crown.

“Damn it!” Jenn turned around and slapped the skinny man hard. The performance was instantly silent. Only the gnashing of the man’s teeth sounded like he was being victimized when, in fact, it was the other way around.

“What are you doing?” the man snapped.

“You shameless bastard!”

Without thinking, Jenn took off her glass slippers. She lifted her dress just above her ankles and walked off the stage. Running away from the light, the audience looked at each other.
