After toying with him for a while, I finally agreed for him to join the training. It started getting late, and he still kept insisting every time I won that he was just getting ready, but I was already getting tired of his complaints.

He kept saying that he was getting ready, he was taken unaware, he was trying to be easy on me because of my injury and whatnot. I knew he felt embarrassed that he kept failing and that was why he was trying to cover up, but the reason I continued for that long was because I wanted to feel less embarrassed about it.
