Sean could see at a glance that Iris was bothered. He could not place a finger on it but he instinctively felt that it was male related. Who was that fool that dared to trouble his woman?

“She is not your woman, yet, dude,” Max, his wolf cautioned.

“But she will soon be!” he answered confidently.

“Well, if that is going to be possible, you have to step up your game because it seems she is already considering another or can’t you see how troubled she is?” Max asked.

“Iris, are you okay?” he asked, looking at Iris with concern.

“Yes, yes, I am fine,” she replied. “How is your day going?” she asked.

“Very well, now that I have seen you,” he said with a smile. Iris smiled back. “Hope yours is not going too bad either?”

“I am great as you can see,” she answered. “You are early today, is there a particular reason for it?” she asked remembering the visitor who just left and his he had left her dumbfounded.
