Chapter 53. Heartbroken

Third-Person POV

Andrew had come to visit Iris. He wanted to be her first guest but he was shocked to see her walk hand in hand out of the door to an unknown destination.

He felt pain and rested his back against a tree to catch his breath. It had seemed like he was suffocating. Had Sean slept in the house? How come he was there as early as this? Andrew wondered.

Since they were walking on foot, Andrew decided to follow them at a distance. He knew that he was just giving them reason to cause him more heart ache but he just couldn’t resist. He had to know. The way they were holding hands and smiling into each other’s eyes made him insanely jealous but he persisted.

They got to the stream, oblivious of the fact that they were followed. Their game made Andrew realize that he was very lonely and had been for a very long time. He wished he was the one playing such intimate games with Iris.
