Chapter 59. Men Can’t Be Trusted

Iris’s POV

Two days later, Sean arrived on time to take me out on our date.

My brothers assessed him. Turned out they knew him and though skeptical, were in support that I should give him a chance.

We went to the Seaside Moon Hotel and after going through the menu, we ordered.

After the meal, Sean took me out to the body of water that gave the hotel its name.

I was nervous. I felt I knew what he was going to do. I didn’t want it to get complicated. It was better if I intimated him about my feelings concerning marriage.

“People are always talking about marriage but I think it is overrated,” I said. Then smiling up at him, I asked, “What do you think about it?”

“About what?” he asked, clearly thrown.

“About marriage,” I said easily.

“I… I…” he stammered, looking at me strangely. “I can understand why you have changed your opinion about marriage but marriage can be very sweet if you find the right partner and I can assure you
