Third-Person POV

“No, I’m not drunk,” he said. “I am insane. Insanely bound to you for life. Insanely in love with you, Iris. Even insanely in need of you, can you not feel it?” he asked pressing his body against her so she could feel his throbbing need.

She was shocked. Didn’t know if she should howl for help but Adrian suddenly let her go. “I need just one answer. Are we going to get back together or not?” he asked.

“In your dreams!” she snapped. “We are through, Adrian. Have been through for two years now. Surely the loss of your memory didn’t lead to a loss of your faculties as well, did it? she asked. “I rejected you and you accepted. End of story. There’s no more to it!”

“Couldn’t you forgive me?” he asked, his pain obvious.

“Oh, I have forgiven you. How could I have been able to move on with my life otherwise? But I cannot forget,” she said, plainly.
