While I was still in bed, I thought about everything that had happened that week. Yet, what Chen said that day remained fresh in my head until now. I wondered how he was after he heard what I said at that time.

Perhaps, he may have given up. I hoped so.

Then, I flinched when I heard the bell ring. I swiftly got up and immediately grabbed my phone to check whether I had missed something today.

As I walked toward the front door, I was scrolling on my screen and checking my notifications to see if I had forgotten about having a visitor today or not.

Before I opened the door, I found Chen’s name on the screen. He called me once a few hours ago, maybe, while I was still asleep.

So, when I opened the door, I gasped, and my eyes widened as I noticed Chen standing in front of me when I raised my face to flee.
