Claire gave a curt nod.

“She’s already in the living room, ma’am. Should I send her up to your study?”

“No, please. I’ll go to her.” I reached for my coat and lifted the manila envelope containing the contract.

Today I was due to meet the new recruit for our Apollo Media. It had started as a mere department within Hermes—my own idea, in fact—but Richard had liked it so much that he’d elevated it into a fully fledged subsidiary. He even hand-picked me to run it.
