Immediately, we ordered a cab and went straight to our apartment. Along the ride, all I kept doing was saying a little prayer every three seconds. Richard was silent throughout the ride. I get it; he was mad at me, and I was also mad at myself.
Twenty minutes later, the cab dropped us off just at the main entrance of the whole lodge for the fact that the car broke down, so we had to pay him off. Well, Richard had to pay him off, and we had to also trek a whole ten minutes to our main apartment.
I don’t know why I was expecting a fire accident, but fortunately we got to our apartment, not even entered yet, with no traces of fire at all.
