Ace was definitely a shocker in the form of a person.
I was in total shock as I realized he was the one who came to pick us up at the airport.
He could be my elder brother, but he was fun—total fun.
I knew he felt guilty for sending me on that trip to New York, but I assured him it wasn’t his fault at all.

“I feel heavy for letting you guys stay for so long in New York; if you had arrived a little bit earlier, maybe something like this wouldn’t have happened.”

“I know, but there is hope,” I reassured him.
“Well, I was thinking she shouldn’t go back home to her place. Maybe we could accommodate her and the kids at our place. How about that?”
