Damien’s POV

“Where are you off to?”

“I need to see someone ASAP,” I responded to Lancelot.

“I will be back in a few hours. Make yourselves comfortable, Jake. Lancelot will take you to a room upstairs if you need to relax. I will inform the housekeeper to give you the keys. Food is in the kitchen as usual. Just vibe with Lancelot and you will be fine.”

“You really don’t have to do that… I will be going with you back to New York,” Jake reacted.

I understood what he was saying, but I wasn’t letting him go, and I also had plans for him.

“No, I still want to see you around for a while; just stay back. Don’t worry, Lancelot won’t blow your head before I arrive.”

I figured he might have needed a little assurance in that aspect.

He nodded slowly, and the last thing I saw of them was Lancelot giving Jake a playful punch.
