Chapter 33. Insanely

Ezekiel paced back and forth in his camp bedroom as he thought of what he said to Rachel.

He’s with his friend, Owen Ridge, who is currently on camp training and wasn’t allowed to do any drills. He accompanied Ezekiel more than anyone else, and so, they had been with each other through thick and thin.

And now, the root of Ezekiel’s problem was not with the soldier training anymore, but with a girl.

“You liked her very much?” Owen teased. Ezekiel shook his head.

“I told you, she was just part of my plan,” he revealed. Owen tutted his tongue and shook his head. He rested his elbows by his knees and watched Ezekiel panicked silently.

“She is right. But you started to fall for her, Ezekiel. The kiss you made as a dare? It was the first step towards her heart. You entirely know what to do with her, and you just closed your eyes to deny it.”
