Scarlett’s POV

Makes me wonder what exactly I would be doing with him...or for him. I try as much as possible to hide my cringe as the cold diamond bulging out from the ring on his finger draws a line across my lips.

“I know a lot of brothers tend to be over protective of their sisters.” He says, his green eyes scan me like they’re looking for something they haven’t quite found. “I hope you’re not one of them.” His eyes dart to Gage for a milli second before they fall back to me again.

“I think it’s only natural to be concerned.” Gage’s eyes are thick with rage and his voice is strained.

It’s not noticeable to the others because they don’t know him. If they ever relatively know him, they’ll know that he’s doing a poor job in concealing his emotions.
