Scarlett’s POV

Turns out I was wrong. There’s more to this man than just pride. There’s something that makes him seem like he’s suffering from a severe case of emotional imbalance, but that’s not it.

His actions are calculated, planned. Anything he does, he’s thought it over even to the point of blinking. It’s almost as if he’s acting out his life in the open. As if he’s living a script, which is confusing as you don’t know his next move. You just can’t detect it.

“Scary wasn’t it?” His voice invades my thoughts and I look up at him.

“I’m sorry?”

“You have to get used to that side of me cupcake. I’m not all sunshine. I get really pissed when my money is on the line.” He says and I feel like he means to warn me.

Luckily for me though, I’m not going to be in any direct contact with his money and even though I know Gage is, if anything should happen he can take care of himself. I mean, this Psycho doesn’t even stand a chance.
