Scarlett’s POV

We follow Amanda who leads us to a royally designed sitting area. The golden and white furniture is exquisitely mixed and it gives the entire space the feeling of royalty.

“Touché.” Jane murmurs as we are offered seats.

“I’ll be right back, but please in the meantime I’d like you to keep yourselves busy. Just make yourselves at home.” She says, and we nod. She walks away but I only release the tension from my shoulders when I can’t hear the echoing of her footsteps.

“I can’t believe I’m here...in the creed.” Jane shivers beside me.

I look at her and I only just come into the realization that last I knew she lived in San Francisco. I try to think of all the possible reasons why she left San Francisco and came all the way here, but another logical sense bugs me to just ask which I give into.
