Chapter 6. Errands
Alex had finished cleaning up her workspace before returning to her flat. She grabs her bottle of neutralizing perfume, and with a few spritzes she inhales deeply as the smell of blood and antiseptic fades. She exhaled, then checked her clothes; her dark red work dress kept any blood stains invisible, though it was not the best attire, and she needed to go out. Alex changed into a white blouse and cream coloured trousers before throwing on her light brown coat and slipping into her heels. She made sure her recent earnings were on her person for her current outgoing.
She started walking down the stairs to see the maid coming up with a feather duster and cloth in hand. “Ah, hello Maisy,” Alex greets the young girl. “How have you been?”
Maisy gave the woman a light and curious stare with her dull green eyes.
