Chapter 49

He snorts. “Jason spares no one, why he spared you I don’t know.” He says and then he smiles really big. “But I will certainly find out.” He says and then leaves me in the kitchen.

“There are no knives in the kitchen, so don’t think about doing anything stupid.” I hear his voice from the living room area.

What does he mean?

I have come to realize that Jason is not who I thought he was, not even in the slightest.

That guy actually said that Jason was to kill me!

Was it the time we first met? On my way to the beach, did he stalk me? Did he know exactly where I would be and at that particular time?

This is all not making sense, but at the same time; it is making sense.

“I want to see you.” I hear the officer’s voice from the living room. I am still standing in the kitchen with the empty bottle of water in my hand, just simply overthinking.

“I want to be able to see you!” His voice is much louder and more demanding this ti
