Chapter 50
If there is WiFi here, I could FaceTime somebody and they could get my location and save me.
I turn on the WiFi and a network is available. I quickly connect to it, which is easy because it is not password-protected. The signal seems to be strong so far, which is good news.

I immediately FaceTime my mother and she answers on the second ring.
“Oh my goodness, baby.” She cries into the phone and my own eyes begin to tear up.
“Mom, I was kidnapped,” I say between sobs. She’s crying and now I’m crying. A stiff fear lingers in my heart though, causing me to scan around every minute.
“I know. I know, Rose. Where are you?” She asks soundly. Her voice is trembling but she’s trying to be strong.
“I-I don’t know. But it was Jason!” I say. I actually don’t know where we are. The drive was so long and confusing and I don’t think I have ever been around these parts.
“Jason? Is he there with you? Can he help?” She asks, but I don’t
