Chapter 53

Griffin immediately stands.

“Repeat what you just said.” He says calmly as he stares into my eyes. His blue eyes look poisonous. “Say it again and I will crush your legs.” He smiles as he sees his words are getting their desired effect on me.

And I am completely terrified.

“Yeah, that’s what I thought,” He says and he begins walking towards the staircase. “It’s late, go to bed. We have a long day ahead of us.” His voice doesn’t sound tired.

I am really tired though and this has been the longest and most eventful day of my life. I just wish that this could be a dream and I would wake up in my comfortable bed, along with my soft velvet duvet at home.

I wake up from the leather couch and I tentatively follow him. He walks up the staircase and from the way he walks, I can tell he has very strong legs. Which just tells me that I should never try to outrun him, for he would catch me in a heartbeat.
