Chapter 11
Alessa quickly wiped her tears when she feels the presence of someone behind her. She was in the garden and sitting in her favorite place. She always came here when she was stressed at work or when her mind and body were too tired.
“Are you alright?” asked Armando.
Alessa made sure she looked presentable before facing the young man, then smiled. “Y-yes, doc. Do you need anything?”
He didn’t respond and just sat down on the opposite chair and sighed. He looked at where he spoke. “I know you and Elijah argued.”
“Huh?” she asked.
“I’m not a gossip!” he said while raising both hands as if to surrender. “It just happened that I passed by Elijah’s room earlier and then I heard you call his name. I was curious, so I peeked at you.”
Alessa laughed a little because of what he said. After a while, she bowed down.
