Chapter 12
Alessa sat on the edge of the bed facing the young man, massaging his head. Elijah closed his eyes tightly. It still stained his cheeks with tears, so she opened the drawer on the nightstand and took out the tissue that was stocked there. She gently wiped his face with that tissue. His t-shirt was almost wet from sweat.
“Is he alright, Alessa?”
“He has already taken a painkiller and he will be fine soon. I will take care of him,” she said to them. She stood up and took clothes and a towel from the closet, then returned to Elijah.
“Call us if you need help, Alessa.”
“Al right. Go ahead.”
Alessa and Elijah were left in the room. Elijah calmed down and was quiet while closing his eyes. She didn’t stop stroking her head because every time she did that, he tweaked himself.
According to Armando, Elijah used to have no migraines. It just started getting headaches since the accident.
