Chapter 13
Alessa was no longer surprised when she told her parents the news that the Villaruiz couple want her moved to the guest room. They even seemed to be satisfied and even helped her move things.
“That’s better so you don’t have to go up and down when Elijah needs you,” said his mother while folding some of her clothes.
“Mom, maybe I don’t need to go upstairs with my stuff.” She grimaced while looking at them. She thought she was going abroad. “It’s like I’m moving to another country. I’m just moving rooms, huh!” she snorted. Her parents brought several boxes containing her belongings.
The couple laughed at her. “Alessa, we just thought it would be better if your things were already there.”
Alessa approached them and whispered, “Isn’t it embarrassing, because I can still sleep in the guest room to think that I’m just Elijah’s private nurse?”
