Mustapha sat in front of his laptop, one hand stroking his chin and the other tapping the table lazily. He watched as Noam cackled loudly, rolled his eyes at the man, and reminded himself why he was doing this. The dignity of his country seemed to depend on him being stripped of his dignity.
“So...” Noam said as he struggled to swallow his laughter. “So, you finally give up? What happened to ‘the staff belongs to Egypt?’ Did you get tired of singing that?”
At this point, Mustapha wanted to end the call, but he stopped himself.
“Will you do it or not?” He gritted out.
“What exactly do you want me to do? Finish Storm off? You know I can’t do that. That’ll cause a war, and we are not prepared to go to war for your sake,” Noam said, emphasizing ‘your’.
“I’m not asking you to go to war. I’m asking that you come out and debunk his claims of the virus emerging from Egypt. Heck! Investors are pulling out,” Mustapha said desperately.
