Chapter 22
Rose stared blankly at the samples on the table, her frustration growing. She sighed and pulled her hair gently, desperate for a solution. The vaccine was taking too long to come along, and it bothered her. Why couldn’t things like this just be simple? She chewed on her bottom lip, tapped her finger on the table, and turned her chair to the side as she thought about what to do.
The pressure on them to find a vaccine was increasing by the second. Unfortunately, they had not been able to make any headway with their research. They had fifty tested samples already, but none was yielding any results. Angrily, she stood up from the chair and walked to the window.
She removed her lab coat, hung it on her chair, and inhaled the fresh air coming in through the window. Her mind traveled to the recent events, and she could not help but sigh.
