Chapter 8. Agreement

“What?” Lee raised an eyebrow at me and rolled her eyes. “Why can’t you answer? You just ran away, didn’t you? You didn’t even say goodbye before leaving, did you? It’s so obvious in the way you’re walking that you didn’t say goodbye to Auntie Maria and Uncle Harvey!” She spoke too loudly and too fast, and to stop her from speaking, I decided to cover her mouth with my hand.

Because of what I did, Lee immediately resisted, causing her and her bicycle to fall onto the street. And that only made her even more furious at me.

“You’re not only a liar, but you’re also hurting people!” Lee complained as she got up from her fall.
