Chapter 16. In Frigid Water

It’s Saturday today… and that means that later tonight, we’ll have dinner with Auntie Marie, Uncle Richard, and Lee.

Because last Saturday’s dinner happened at Lee’s house, the dinner was supposed to be here in our house, but this morning, I overheard from Mommy and Auntie’s conversation that Auntie was craving fast food, so we’ll be eating out later. They said we’ll decide later on what Auntie will crave. Daddy and Uncle are okay with it because Auntie is pregnant, and when someone is pregnant, they have many cravings, and it’s difficult if those cravings aren’t satisfied.

We had breakfast around 8:30 AM. Daddy cooked Spam and eggs, and during breakfast, Mommy and Daddy asked me about Tate, whom I always accompany to the playground after classes. They were curious because they haven’t talked to Tate yet. They also said I should invite Tate and his parents over sometime so they can also get to know the parents of my new friends.
