The pain in Anthony could only mean one thing—Vanessa had been with someone else. Once again, he was lost in a whirlwind of anger, hurt, and jealousy. Rationality was no longer a part of him. She had another man now, but it wouldn’t last long. Typically, omegas away from their alphas die, and that’s what Vanessa deserved—death. That’s what Anthony wanted.

Alex and David did everything they could to mitigate the situation, knowing that if Vanessa suffered from the mark, Anthony would suffer too. The best remedy for it all was for Anthony to bond with someone else, breaking the bond between him and the omega. However, the alpha was stubborn. First, he inserted clauses in the divorce agreement. Then he tried to take Zack’s custody from Vanessa (Austin hadn’t yet acknowledged paternity).
