The blood drained from Kendra’s face.
Of course, it would be virtually impossible for him to remember, but how could she forget? How could she forget that one chance meeting with him, one drunken night with him, had transformed her life forever?
Henry outstretched his hand and enclosed hers. “It is wonderful to meet you, Kendra. You have done really well for yourself by building a reputable brand like KAS Patterns.”
Kendra wanted to say, “It’s good to see you again, Henry,” but instead, the words that came out were, “Thank you. Sullivan Corporation is outstanding.”
Henry grinned. “Thank you. Do you remember you planned my friend Dean Alderman’s wedding two years ago?”
Kendra smiled. “No, I’m sorry, we organize so many events it’s hard to keep track of them all.”
“I can understand.”
