Chapter 58. Face to Face

“I got to give it to you, you’re tricky.” Christopher said as he walked forward, causing Roxanne to take two steps back and ultimately pushing her back into the room.

The loud pounding of her heart was evident in her ears while her eyes grew in size, glossing over as she observed Christopher stalking towards her.

Ah, why was her luck so bad? She had failed the first time, but you know what they all say, failure is only but direction in another path.

She couldn’t say the same for this. Curse her damn mind for encouraging her to walk into more danger.

Roxanne cursed in her mind while taking steps back, only stopping when Christopher stopped advancing towards her and folded his hand across his chest.

“But what i don’t understand i show you are still standing.” He continued, tilting his head to the side and examining her fragile looking figure.
