Lance felt his heart drop. Bad news?

“What is it?” He asked, his voice rising in pitch.

“Whoever has Roxanne’s phone was smart enough to disable to location. I can’t track her anymore.”

Lance felt his heart skip a beat. “Disabled her location?” He asked as if wanting to re-confirm the bad news he had just heard.

“Yeah. I can’t find her. I’m sorry.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, Lance.”

Lance cursed under his breath and ran a hand through his hair, keeping the other one on his steering and keeping his speed steady. “How?”

“I don’t know. I can only speculate that they are smart enough to know that her location might be traced. That’s common knowledge, after all.”
