Maddie waited for Nate to say something, her nerves were all over the place, especially when his eyes were trained on her; those beautiful blue eyes.

“I didn’t do all of this so I can get you to do anything for me,” He replied to her, his voice firm. 

Maddie chuckled lightly. “Do all of what?” She was intrigued, she wanted to know what he was talking about.

“You know what? Forget it,” He said in a hard tone, frowning as he focused on the crowd that was still growing. 

“No, tell me what you mean by that. Please.” She made sure that she did not sound disrespectful.

He sighed and then turned to her. “You honestly think Jacob would just apologize to you and offer you a ticket to come here? Do you honestly think a guy in a royal car would pull up at your place and drive you here without wanting anything from you?”
