Chapter 21. Scared of the Truth

Maddie’s heart skipped a beat at the sight of Jacob. Her mind swirled with questions as she watched him walk into the house. 

“What are you doing here?” He asked as he approached her, a look of nervousness and confusion plastered over his features.
