Chapter 18. You Know Who You Are

Maddie felt like she was looking deeper into who Nate truly was. The fact that she now knew that he too seemed to be going through a lot made her feel a bit better about her circumstances. 

“I have dated so many girls in the past few years and none of them…absolutely none of them were people I could even see myself spending the rest of my life with. And I am so grateful that the Moon goddess did not pick any of them.” He seemed to be calming down now. 

He stood by the huge windows, looking out at the festival. 

Maddie could not help it, she felt drawn to him. She walked towards him and stood by the windows too, looking down at the crowd of people having a good time. “I’m sure you will find the right girl, at the right time.” She flashed him a smile when he looked at her. “But until then, you just have to remain hopeful. Have faith.”

It felt good to say those words, it was as if she was saying them to herself too.
