Chapter 31. I'm Cursed

It took a couple of seconds for Maddie to process what the Alpha had just said. It did not feel real, how could it?

This was like one of her many daydreams coming to life. It was like the Moon goddess finally smiling down on her.

Yet, she still felt a heaviness; a feeling in the pit of her stomach that something was going to go wrong. 

She still felt like there was a shoe waiting to be dropped. 

“You’re joking, right?” Maddie asked, running her hand through her hair. “There’s no way, there’s just no way.” She chuckled lightly.

He continued to stare at her, causing butterflies to stir in her stomach. The situation paired with their scenery was really waking up so many feelings in Maddie.
