Chapter 32. A Close Call

Nate walked out of the water and purposefully headed for the omega. When he reached her, she tried to say something but he ignored her and swept her off her feet.

“Nate, what are you doing?” She cried as he carried her into the water. “Nate!” She gasped when the cold water touched her skin.

Although she was acting as if she did not want this, he could see in her eyes that she did. A shaky smile lingered on her lips as she tried to fight her way out of his arms.

“Let me go!” She exclaimed, but he could tell she was having fun. 

“Be my guest,” He replied, dropping her in the water and watching her go under. He didn’t just leave her though, he went under too.

Then in seconds, both of them came up for air. He watched her with a smile on his face as she tried to get her wet hair out of her face.
