Tears welled up in her eyes. She thought he had changed, she thought that he was better now. But maybe that was all just an illusion. Crazy enough, she kind of understood his anger. She would have been pissed and hurt too it was done to her too.
“Jacob, please….” She finally managed to whisper, her voice trembling. “Your parents are downstairs, let’s not fight. It has been a lovely evening, please, let’s not ruin it.”
