Chapter 58. Secrets nd Shadows

Maddie liked that her hand was in Jacob’s, but she felt the urge to remove it when the thought of telling him that she was Nate’s mate popped into her head. 

Should she tell him? Should she let him know about something like that? 

Well, knowing how well things were going, she did not want to ruin it. Jacob was finally being himself again and she did not want to be the reason things went back to crap again. So yeah, she was not going to tell him. 

And the thing was why tell him when there was a possibility that she could end up with him? 

“Is everything okay?” He asked her when she had pulled her hand from his. Then his eyes landed on the necklace he had gifted her. He reached for it and brushed his thumb against it softly. “You’re still wearing it.” He smiled. 

“Everything’s fine,” She replied, forcing a smile. “And yeah, I’m still wearing it. It was a gift, wasn’t it?” She chuckled lightly.
