Chapter 86. Seeing the Boss

Maddie’s thoughts were interrupted as the car came to a stop outside the Omega house. Nate turned to her, his eyes searching hers. “Maddie, I know you said that you needed space but if you ever need to talk…you know where to find me,” He said softly. 

She nodded, forcing another smile. “Thanks, Nate. I appreciate it.” She climbed out of the car, her heart heavy with the burden of what she had to do. 

As she walked towards the Omega House, nervousness danced inside her. How was everyone going to treat or view her now that they knew that she was the mate of the Alpha of the pack. 

As soon as she reached the lobby, everyone stared at her. She had not felt so self-conscious in her life. Her heart thumped in her chest as she tried to ignore the stares and whispers. She kept her head low as she headed for the stairs.
