Chapter 94. Too Much

Maddie swallowed, her heart thundering in her chest as she watched Nate, expecting the guy to maybe even hit her. But he did not. Why did she even think that? Maybe that was because Jacob used to hit her a lot when she dated in the past. 

“Maddie, you’re walking on a thin line,” Nate said in a hard tone. “You either get your act together or go the f*ck home.”

Maddie took in a deep breath as she chewed on the guy’s words mentally. She knew that the best decision would be to get Jacob and leave. She could not stand what she had done to the Alpha and wanted to be as far away from him as possible right now. 

Plus, if she returned to the meeting, Elder Roy would expect her to do worse. And she did not want to, nor did she have the mental strength to do that. 

Maddie and Nate shared a bond so she could sometimes feel his emotions and vice versa. At the moment, she was feeling so much hurt, pain, and anger radiating off the Alpha and just wanted to le
