Chapter 90. Telling Jacob

Maddie stared at the guy, her heart thumping in her chest. She couldn't believe that she was about to reveal to him a part of herself that she was not so proud of. 

“What are you talking about?” Jacob chuckled without humor, nervousness swirling in his eyes. “You can tell me anything, Maddie, and I promise that I will never look at you any different.” 

Maddie could not help but scoff, oh she wished he knew. “You’re just saying that,” She replied without missing a beat. 

“No, I’m not.” His voice was firm. “I don’t know if you have gotten the picture yet but I want to be with you, Maddie Bennett. I’m prepared to mark you and nothing can make me want to change that and look at you differently.”
