Chapter 9. I Miss Him
Maddie continued to adjust the bag on her shoulder, it was something that she did when she was nervous or anxious.
She could not stop looking into the ocean-blue eyes of the Alpha, the guy was incredibly attractive and it made it a bit hard to focus when trying to have a conversation with him.
But she tried. “I can’t…I mean I won’t be able to be there.”
“But you want to, right?” Nate asked, placing his hands in his pocket.
For a split second, Maddie’s eyes fell on the guy’s body and she skipped a beat. It was clear that he worked out consistently.
She really liked that he was not very huge when it came to his physique, he was just perfect.
She nodded in response to his question. “But we don’t always get what we want, do we?” She smiled sadly.
It seems like the Alpha wanted to say something but he then only flashed her a smile before nodding and walking away.
