A couple of days later, Katrina was about ready to pull her hair out by the roots. She sat down slowly on a small footstool and glanced around the boxes stacked high in the garage. How was it possible to acquire so much j***? And how could she possibly forget which box she had put Theo’s gift box in?
Of course, the biggest challenge was to not get busy with everything that she found in the boxes while she was searching. Old picture albums, drawings, ticket stubs and millions of other things she had forgotten she had. She sighed and pulled the closest box toward her and opened it. Christmas ornaments. Maybe this would be a good time to actually mark the boxes like a responsible adult, she scolded herself. She went to the kitchen, rummaged around that one kitchen drawer of random j*** that all people have, and found a black Sharpie. At least she was getting something done, which was a small win in itself.
