Chapter 23. Another Treasure

Cedric was cleaning up some of his work, including tidying up the files about Selena, and then he put them in the bottom desk drawer. Cedric saw that the clock was already four; it looked like he would go home early because his thoughts were chaotic. His mind was full of Selena.

However, before he finished his work, Cedric heard clattering steps leading to his room. Bastian walked towards Cedric's office with steady steps and a face that showed seriousness and urgency.

Bastian was a highly trusted assistant to Cedric, who was meticulous and fast in carrying out the orders or tasks given. Like now, when Cedric ordered him to deepen the information about Selena. But who would have thought that while Bastian was digging for information, he would get another treasure that was no less important?
